Who We Are

Hi, I'm Misty — the owner and sole operator of Yorktown Delivery Service. I moved to Yorktown from Gonzales County in 2020 and quickly noticed something was missing: an affordable, reliable local delivery option that actually works for small-town life. After years working for major delivery services and seeing firsthand what they charge in our area, I decided to create something better — reasonable rates, personal service, and a real neighbor you can count on.


My background is 20 years in caregiving and home health care, so taking care of people is truly what I do. Every delivery is handled personally by me — no strangers, no confusion, just dependable service with a smile. Whether you need groceries, a restaurant order, or a store pickup, I treat every order like it matters, because to me, it does.

⚠️ Important: YDS serves Yorktown residents only. The Cuero and Victoria runs are trips I make from Yorktown to pick up your order and bring it back to your Yorktown home — I do not deliver to customers located in Cuero or Victoria.

🚫 YDS does not transport items from one person's home to another person's home. All pickups are made exclusively from legitimate retail stores, restaurants, and post offices. This policy exists for the safety of our customers and our courier.

YDS does not provide passenger transport or handle prescription drug pickups. All orders must be prepaid before pickup and the delivery fee is non-refundable once en route.

Frequently Asked Questions

What areas do you deliver to?
I am based in Yorktown and serve Yorktown residents only. The Cuero ($20) and Victoria ($40) runs are trips I make from Yorktown to those cities to pick up your order and bring it back to your door here in Yorktown. If you live in Cuero or Victoria, unfortunately I am not able to serve you at this time.
Do you shop for me, or do I place the order first?
You place and pay for your order first — I just go pick it up for you. Before booking with us, make sure your order is already placed and paid for at the store (H-E-B Curbside, Walmart pickup, restaurant order, etc.). I am not a personal shopper. My job is to drive there, grab your already-paid order, and bring it straight to your door. All I collect from you is the flat delivery fee before I head out.
How do I pay, and when?
All delivery fees are collected before we head out. We accept:

How do I book a delivery?
The easiest way is to message us on Facebook, give us a call at (361) 445-6223, or send an email to yorktowndeliveryservice@gmail.com. We’ll confirm your time slot and delivery details from there.
How do you keep food hot and fresh on longer runs like Cuero?
Great question! For hot food orders like pizza from Cuero — which is about a 20-minute drive — I recommend telling the restaurant not to start making your order for 25 minutes after you place it. That way your food comes out of the oven right around the time I arrive, instead of sitting and getting cold while I'm on the road. I use an insulated food warmer bag to keep everything as fresh as possible, but timing the order right makes a big difference. I'm happy to help coordinate this when you book!
Can you keep food hot or cold during delivery?
Yes! We use an insulated food warmer bag for hot items and an ice chest for cold or frozen goods, so your delivery arrives in great condition.
Can you pick something up from someone's house and deliver it to me?
No. For the safety of our customers and our courier, YDS only picks up from legitimate retail stores, restaurants, and post offices. We do not transport items between private residences. We have no way to verify the contents of items passed between individuals, and we take that responsibility seriously.
Do you deliver prescriptions or provide transportation?
No. YDS does not handle prescription drug pickups and does not provide passenger transport of any kind. We are a package and grocery courier service only.
What if I need to cancel my order?
Please contact us as early as possible if you need to cancel. The delivery fee is non-refundable once we are en route, but we will always do our best to work with you if something comes up before we leave.
Are you available every day?
We are open Monday through Saturday, 8:00 AM – 7:00 PM and Sunday, 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM. We recommend reaching out at least a few hours ahead of when you need your delivery to secure your time slot.
